What we love about the Patek Philippe 5130G, however, is how distinctly complex it looks, yet it operates easily and flawlessly for anyone, tech-savvy or not. Materials

Everything from the bracelet to the watchface is what one should expect from Patek Philippe —brilliant and precise. In the 5130G, you'll find the in-house caliber 24 HU automatic movement. The movement itself is impressively thin at just 3.88mm thick, using a 22k gold micro-rotor to maintain a slim profile. Along with a power reserve of 48 hours, the Patek Philippe Gyromax Wheel offers time and world time function, especially handy for the avid traveler.

Design

The size of the 5130G is for those who are looking for something “just right” —it's not too big, not too small. At 39.5mm wide, it sits comfortably on any wearer's wrist. What makes this particular Petak truly unique is obvious: the face. The dial has the traditional hour and minute hands, and the outside has a city ring and a 24 hour ring. When you are traveling, you can use the pusher on the left side of the case to set the local time. This will also adjust the city ring to indicate your local time zone reference city will be at 12 o'clock. The 24 hour ring will tell you different times from around the world based on your local time zone. It's also color coded to easily differentiate day and night time for the various time zones. At a glance, it may look complicated to figure out. But it's actually beautifully simplistic to use.

When it comes to the face and dial, it's all about mastering the art of symmetry.
